Cooperative Leadership Institute (CLI), a private company that was founded at Virginia Tech, designs, develops, and delivers embedded leadership and professional development platforms that create greater access to transformative experiences and professional development. This is accomplished by co-creating leadership and professional development curriculum with our clients, so that their team members and leaders have access to world-class curriculum that is rooted in their values, culture, and corporate / programmatic missions.

CLI leverages its affiliation with the university to increase its programmatic scalability and mitigate costs by implementing the latest learning technology innovations and leveraging faculty and graduate student participation. CLI specializes in innovating web-based leadership development programs for large professional populations. CLI's curricula resources, products, and services were leveraged as part of a client's strategic HR program that was awarded the 2007 Human Resource Leadership Award for Greater Washington in Innovation.
