Charles Lattimer,
CEO & Founder

Charles Lattimer is the CEO and Founder of the Cooperative Leadership Institute (CLI), a private leadership development company that was founded at Virginia Tech. As an executive coach, leadership guide, and entrepreneur, Charles has directed international and enterprise-level organizational development and training programs.

Charles has over a decade of experience in designing, developing, and coordinating scalable, computer and web-based management and leadership development programs that have been successfully launched on-time and on-budget to thousands of learners.

Charles was the President of Opus Multimedia, Inc., a software development company focused on the hospitality and tourism industry. Opus developed the academic and industry consortium Hospitality Industry Training Systems (HITS), which aggregated university-level content and training resources. HITS attracted international appeal with top tier university partners including Virginia Tech, University of Delaware, University of Houston, University of Surrey (United Kingdom), and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. As a consultant, Charles developed internationally distributed leadership development and marketing programs for the largest private club company in the world, Club Corporation of America, and he has led "think-tanks" for executives at Marriott International, Radisson Hotels, and the U.S. State Department's Foreign Service Institute.

A prolific speaker, Charles regularly guest lectures in all areas of leadership capacity development, technology-enhanced learning environments, technology-based community development, value-based learning communities, innovation, and the creative process.

Charles earned Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from Virginia Tech, where he was granted lifetime memberships in Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi. Charles is the current President of Virginia Tech's Phi Beta Kappa chapter.
